Scott first learned to fly fish for bluegills at his grandparents’ cabin in Wisconsin. These days he’ll fish for anything that will take a fly, from small native brook trout and smallmouth bass, to whitefish pike and steelhead.

He moved from Minneapolis to the north shore of Minnesota to raise his family and be closer to his passions 15 years ago. He has enjoyed the endless fly fishing opportunities in the Grand Marais area, and loves to share his knowledge about the region’s resources. Scott has been guiding fly fishing clients in the Arrowhead since 2009, and opened The Fly Box & Company in 2015.
